Seminar on the Occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal-Kashmir

The Consulate General of Pakistan in Los Angeles organized a seminar on August 5th, 2024, to mark the Youm-e-Istehsal-Kashmir. The event drew participation of academicians, members of the ethnic media, as well as representatives from major Pakistani-American community organizations based in Los Angeles. The event marked the fifth anniversary of India’s unlawful steps in regard to Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).

Consul General Mr. Asim Ali Khan briefed the participants on the significance of Youm-e-Istehsal-Kashmir and the grave situation in IIOJK. He underscored that despite the egregious violations of fundamental human rights perpetrated by India against the oppressed Kashmiri people, their determination remains unwavering. The Consul General reaffirmed Pakistan’s unflinching political, moral, and diplomatic support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir until they realize their inalienable right to self-determination, in accordance with pertinent United Nations Security Council Resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiris. The Consul General also read special messages from the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan on this occasion.

5th International Textile & Leather Exhibition, 23 – 25 Oct 2024 at Expo Center, Karachi

Connecting Cultures: Pakistan’s Entertainment Industry Networking in Hollywood

The Consulate General of Pakistan in Los Angeles hosted a networking event aimed at promoting Pakistan’s film, drama, and music industry in the Hollywood. The event saw the participation of representatives from the entertainment sectors of both Pakistan and the United States. Notably, several prominent Pakistani film producers and directors attended the event virtually. Some Pakistani-American community members working the Hollywood also joined the event.

2024-Internship Program at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Los Angeles

Students chosen for the program are required to participate as an intern on a full-time/part-time basis. The internship program gives students valuable work experience in a challenging foreign affairs arena.

Business Facilitation Centre

The Business Facilitation Centre (BFC) is a flagship initiative of the Government of the Punjab to help facilitate the business community and domestic & foreign investors by providing a host of services under one roof. These services include obtaining NOCs, licenses and permits etc. necessary for starting up and up scaling business. The initiative aims at reducing business barriers by connecting multiple Government Agencies through a software application. It is anticipated that the initiative would substantially contribute to creation of an enabling environment for the businesses, thereby fostering enterprise creation and operations.
