During last two decades he served on various diplomatic assignments in China, United States, Canada and France. Before joining as the Consul General in Los Angeles, he was Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamabad for three years. Previously he also served as Director in the President’s Secretariat, Islamabad and in other various capacities.
The Consul General has vast experience of bilateral and multilateral diplomacy and has been dealing with diverse and complex foreign policy, economic diplomacy, security, consular, administrative and community-related issues during his diplomatic career.
Mr. Asim Ali Khan has a Masters degree in International Relations and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with honors from Pakistan.
In recognition of his extraordinary and meritorious public service the President of Pakistan conferred the Civil Award of Sitara-i-Imtiaz on Mr. Asim Ali Khan on Pakistan Day 2023.
He is married and is a proud father of three children.
