On 21 February 2015, a reception was held in the Consulate General of Pakistan, Los Angeles to inaugurate the new Multi-purpose Community Hall as well as the expanded space of the Consulate (with an additional space of 2000 square feet). Congressman Ed Royce, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee of the US Congress, was the Chief Guest at the inaugural event. Around 150 guests attended the reception including members of diverse and vibrant Pakistani diaspora on the West Coast, important members of the government of California and representatives of Consular Corps based in Los Angeles. The event was co-hosted by the Council of Pakistani American Affairs, a reputed organization of the Pakistani-American community.

NICOP/POC are delivered by National Database and Registration Authority directly to the applicants. However, due to the change of address or some other issues, some cards remain undelivered and are returned to the Consulate General of Pakistan in Los Angeles. If you have not received your NICOP/POC which had been dispatched to you, kindly click on the “Undelivered NICOP/POC LIST” If your name is in the list, kindly send a certified self-addressed envelope with tracking number and photocopy of your application receipt/Pakistan Passport Copy/US passport /Previous NICOP/POC Copy. The Consulate will promptly mail your card to you.

The Consulate General of Pakistan, Los Angeles has started issuing machine readable passports with TEN YEARS validity period, effective from 2nd January of this year. Now applicants can apply for these passports as per the following procedure. On payment of normal fee of $83, the passports with the ten year validity period shall be delivered in six to seven weeks. On payment of the urgent fee of $216 the passport will be delivered in two to three week. Ten year validity period Passports are not issued to the children who are under the age of fifteen years.
