Consulate General of Pakistan, Los Angeles organized an event on the 13 and 14 August 2017 to celebrate 70 years of Pakistan’s Independence. Large number of politicians, officials and prominent members of Pakistani American community graced the occasion. Consul General, Mr. Abdul Jabbar Memon congratulated the Pakistani American community on Pakistan’s Independence Day and appreciated their role in strengthening relations between the two countries. He further stated that Pakistan and USA enjoy friendly relations and hopefully relations between the two countries will further strengthen in the days ahead. Doctor Stanely Wolpert,in his address, highlighted the contribution of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Pakistan’s independence. On this occasion, a national song competition was also arranged.
